Position Summary The General Laborer supports remodeling crews by assisting with demolition, jobsite preparation, material handling, and general construction tasks. This role works closely with carpenters and other trades to help keep remodeling projects running efficiently. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and interested in learning residential construction and remodeling skills. Responsibilities Assist with demolition for remodeling projects including removal of cabinets, flooring, drywall, tile, and fixtures. Prepare work areas for remodeling including protection of floors, walls, and furniture. Load, unload, and transport materials such as lumber, drywall, tile, and tools. Maintain clean and organized job sites inside occupied homes. Assist carpenters and skilled trades with installation tasks. Operate hand tools and basic power tools safely. Remove debris and dispose of construction materials. Assist with minor construction tasks such as framing, drywall prep, and material staging. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a professional presence in customers' homes. Qualifications Construction or remodeling experience preferred but not required. Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools. Strong work ethic and reliability. Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. Valid driver’s license preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50–80 lbs regularly. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces. Ability to perform physical work for extended periods. Compensation Pay depends on experience and skills. Work Environment Work performed inside occupied homes and renovation sites.
