Work with government agencies and support tax/accounting needs Part-Time Controller – Commercial Sub Contractor We are a growing commercial contracting company seeking a reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper with experience in the construction industry. Responsibilities include: Managing day-to-day bookkeeping (AP/AR, reconciliations, payroll support) Shopping and obtaining general liability insurance and related coverage for commercial contractors Handling Government agencies (LNI, Unemployment, Debt Rev, Etc) Working with insurance brokers and reviewing policies for accuracy and cost-effectiveness Tracking certificates of insurance and compliance requirements Preparing financial reports and supporting tax/accounting needs Assisting with job costing and expense tracking Qualifications: Bachelors degree preferred Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably with commercial contractors Experience in government agencies Employment Securities, L&I, Dept of Rev Hands-on experience shopping for and securing general liability insurance Strong understanding of construction-related insurance requirements Proficiency with Quickbooks online Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Ability to work independently
