This role involves safely operating a payloader to manage raw material flow, maintaining material inventory, assisting with pellet mill production tasks, and ensuring a clean and efficient work environment. The operator will play a key role in keeping the mill running smoothly and safely. Key Responsibilities Operate a payloader to move, load, and organize raw materials for pellet production. Maintain consistent feed levels to the pellet mill to support continuous operations. Monitor material quality and report any contamination or irregularities. Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs. Assist with pellet mill operation tasks, including cleanup, material handling, and basic machine support. Keep yard and material storage areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow all company safety policies and guidelines, including PPE requirements. Communicate effectively with mill operators, supervisors, and maintenance teams. Complete documentation related to material usage, inspections, and production as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience operating a payloader or similar heavy equipment required. Knowledge of material handling, bulk storage, or mill operations preferred. Ability to follow operating procedures and safety guidelines. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and communication skills. Ability to work in dusty, noisy, and varying outdoor conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Work Environment Industrial mill environment with exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor weather. Physical work with equipment operation, climbing, and material handling.
