Description

Summary: This role involves autonomously administrating, coordinating, and designing network security solutions, leading projects, participating in production rotations, and mentoring junior team members. Highlights: 1. Design and administer network security solutions to mitigate IT and cyber risk 2. Lead projects for implementing and supporting network security platforms 3. Contribute to automation of network security tasks (Python, Bash, PowerShell) Autonomously administrates, coordinates and designs procedural/technical network security solutions and platforms to mitigate potential IT and cyber risk, including understanding and diagnosing network security problems, working as a team or independently to resolve issues; Lead projects/activities related to the implementation and support of network security platforms, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), local and wide area networks in a multi-vendor environment across multiple data centers and financial exchanges; Participates in Production Lead rotations which include creative problem solving, leading daily scrum meetings, and acting as a primary point of contact of production related issues; utilizes monitoring and management tools to monitor, evaluate, and maintain the health of the existing infrastructure and respond to any abnormal events or alerts; diagnoses problems with network security technologies, and troubleshoots and fixes malfunctions and failures of network security technologies; creates new and maintains technical documentation for security measures; Contributes to the improvement of network security solutions by automating tasks (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) and create and document procedures to improve overall operational posture and readiness; mentors junior team members. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking & Systems Administration or a similar technical discipline, plus 2 years of experience with TCP/IP, networking and Windows/Linux.
