Summary: Seeking a marine technician for a comfortable shop environment, focusing on outboard and inboard/outboard engine troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance with on-the-job training. Back in test tank for diagnostics and testing Portland based company is hiring a marine technician. You will be working in a very comfortable shop getting 40+ hours a week. In addition to a great work environment and supporting team we have a back in test tank for all your diagnostics and testing. A knowledge of the marine industry is a must; however, we do provide on job training and on- going education. I/O knowledge would be great, but not mandatory. Major Duties and Responsibilities- --Outboard troubleshooting and repair -- Inboard/ outboard engine routine maintenance -- All levels of engine repair -- Lower unit service and repair -- Power trim and tilt repair -- Outboard jet repair --Winterizing of outboards and I/O’s Qualifications: --Work 40 + hours a week --complete set of tools and box -- Understanding of 2 and 4-Stroke marine engines -- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) -- Self-driven and eager to learn -- Team oriented -- Reliable transportation to and from work -- Oregon Boaters Card (not required but preferred) -- Stable work history --basic computer skills Benefits: --Top paid wages --Employee purchase program --Heath Insurance --Dental --Vision --401K --Holiday pay --Paid vacation
