The Opportunity: The Portland, OR facility is seeking a highly capable and results-oriented Manufacturing Manager to drive manufacturing excellence through Lean principles, continuous improvement, and strong cross-functional collaborion. This role demands proven expertise in building and developing high-performing teams while optimizing operional performance to consistently achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Wh You’ll Work On  Manage a team of Engineers (incl. Operional Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Sustaining Manufacturing), Documention Specialists, and Manufacturing Supervisors. Manage day-to-day manufacturing operions, including labor and merial flow, production scheduling, technical support, and change management. Partner with cross-functional teams – including Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance – to meet customer requirements and business objectives. Establish and monitor performance metrics and visual management systems to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Develop and implement manufacturing improvement stregies aligned with business goals, Lean principles, and regulory requirements (FDA, QMS, EMS). Lead cost reduction and operional performance initiives to improve efficiency, throughput, and overall manufacturing performance to achieve daily and long-term targets. Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse, skilled workforce; provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and career development. Lead change management initiives and foster a culture of ownership, engagement, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organizion. Required Qualificions: Bachelor’s degree in operions management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a reled field. Minimum 10 years reled work experience in a multi-product manufacturing environment, with progressive leadership and managerial roles in Operions, Continuous Improvement, or Operional Excellence. Strong managerial skills, with proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop employees. Effective communicion, interpersonal, and motivional skills, with the ability to engage and influence all organizional levels. Demonstred ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments and collabore effectively within cross-functional teams. Solid knowledge and practical applicion of Lean Manufacturing principles; experience with Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiives preferred. Proven ability to lead change initiives and drive operional improvements through structured methodologies. Strong organizional, planning, and prioritizion skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and hold teams accountable for results. Preferred Qualificions ​ Medical device industry experience Experience with manual manufacturing processes (incl. cutting, soldering, crimping). Operions or Continuous Improvement experience with Class III medical devices.
