Typical assignments may include the following but not limited to: Works under the direction of Supervisory Paralegal, Project Supervisor or Direct Report. Performs tasks while complying with established procedures Compiles, prepares, and summarizes relevant merials for use by torneys in discovery and in preparion of motions, briefs and other legal documents; Summarizes depositions and other transcripts; maintains case files; performs simple legal research; indexes, tracks and controls document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery); Indexes, tracks and exhibits and other merials depositions and trial. Prepares exhibit cross-references. Assists torneys in courtroom. Reviews documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria. Other examples of the types of work to be performed include compilion of documents for FOIA, production requests, Congressional inquiries, etc. Basic Qualificions: Requires paralegal certifice, or currently tending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed least one year of study. At least one year of litigion paralegal experience or project experience required. Must have basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal cition to cite check legal motions and memorandum. Must have sufficient experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw to perform basic legal research. Thorough knowledge and hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applicions, including word processing, dabases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems. Basic familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources. Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance Preferred Qualificions: Experience working in a Government and/or Litigion Support environment in conjunction with basic qualificions, valued. Trial experience very helpful. Experience with Relivity or similar applicions. Automed litigion support experience. Current or active clearance. This position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum requirements. Leidos ensures th all provisions are sisfied. The pay for this position will be $24.49/hr.
