Gain real-world experience in a small, passionate organization Save Our Mojave, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to protecting the Mojave Desert’s unique ecosystems, wildlife, and cultural heritage from development threats, is seeking a motivated Summer 2026 Intern. Position Overview: • Hands-on opportunity to support environmental advocacy, research, outreach, and desert conservation efforts. • Ideal for college students or recent grads interested in environmental law, policy, sustainability, or nonprofit operations. • Gain real-world experience in a small, passionate organization based in Pasadena. Responsibilities (may include): • Assisting with research on desert conservation issues, policy tracking, and public comments. • Helping with community outreach, social media, events, or educational materials. • Supporting office/admin tasks and potential field visits (Mojave area). • Other projects based on intern interests and organizational needs. Requirements: • Strong interest in environmental protection and the Mojave Desert. • Excellent writing/communication skills; detail-oriented. • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. • Computer proficiency (Google Workspace, basic research tools). • Reliable transportation preferred (for occasional off-site work). • Must be 18+; enrolled in or recent grad from college program a plus (academic credit available). Details: • Unpaid volunteer/internship with focus on educational and professional development (primarily benefits the intern). • Flexible part-time or full-time schedule, June–August (negotiable, ~10-30 hours/week). • Location: Pasadena office (150 E Colorado Blvd #215), with possible remote/flex options. • Duration: 8-12 weeks.
