Midwest Global Solutions LLC is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer in Omaha, NE (may telecommute from home residence anywhere in the U.S. up to 100% of the time). Position duties: Collaborate with the BI and data teams to set up financial reporting with advanced drill-down capabilities. Design and develop executive-level dashboards with a focus on clean, high-quality visuals and user-friendly interfaces. Transition Power BI usage from a desktop-based tool to Power BI Service, building out new capabilities. Operate as part of a center of excellence, delivering high-quality visualizations and BI solutions for affiliates in a private equity-style organization. Analyze the current environment to identify gaps and recommend improvements for optimized use of Power BI. Manage smaller, end-to-end projects, from ETL queries to dashboard delivery. Collaborate with the data team working with Snowflake (staged on Azure Synapse) to connect data pipelines and ensure data accuracy. Position requires a bachelor’s degree (will accept domestic or foreign 3-year or 4-year degree) in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, or a related field and 3 years’ experience as a computer systems analyst, developer, or a related position. Experience must include the following specific experience and skills: • 3 years’ experience with BI and Power BI, with strong skills in creating executive-level dashboards and reports. • 3 years’ experience working in an Agile environment, executing tasks in sprint cycles. • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, visually compelling dashboards and articulate findings clearly and concisely. • Familiarity with Snowflake, Azure Synapse, and data staging processes. • Knowledge of Domo and Tableau is a plus, though Tableau use is not required. • Strong understanding of Power BI capabilities and best practices, including the ability to suggest improvements and optimizations. • Data-savvy with a good grasp of ETL processes and the ability to simplify complex workflows. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and affiliates. *Current employees eligible for referral bonus as per company policy with regard to this position.
