Duties Development of detailed site and grading plans, and erosion and sediment control plans Storm water management design, water and wastewater design, roadway and parking design, and construction detailing and specifications. Preparation of inventory assessments, analyses, and reports Assist with business development in the Charlotte, NC region. Engage in public outreach, business development, marketing, and client communication. Manage preliminary and final design and construction phase services for multiple projects. Complete civil and site research, report preparation, and technical specifications. Responsible for design, specifications, plans, maps, project schedule, and budgets. Review and interpretation of local codes from various jurisdictions to determine regulatory requirements for site development. Requirements B.S. degree in civil engineering. Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in the civil engineering field. Licensed professional engineer in North Carolina required or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire. Business development experience and network of clients preferred. Excellent verbal and written communications and analytical/problem solving skills are essential. Skills and Abilities: Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Project management experience a plus, but we will train. Possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering knowledge to a wide variety of projects. Typical projects will involve field work, design, and construction administration services.
