Join us and be part of something extraordinary. We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Security Engineer – Digital Asset Custody to join our Digital Asset Infrastructure team. This role is loced in New York, NY.   In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Build secure, scalable infrastructure powering the future of institutional digital finance, focusing on cryptography, distributed systems, and next-generion transaction security. Collabore closely with cryptographers to develop highly secure and resilient crypto and tokenized asset custody solutions. Implement and audit cryptographic code using secure coding practices in C/C++, Go, or Rust, ensuring resistance to security tacks such as side-channel tacks. Perform thre modeling, code reviews, and design tests to identify and mitige potential vulnerabilities in cryptographic protocols and custody systems. To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Expertise in secure software development and cryptography engineering, with hands-on experience in cryptographic protocols and secure coding practices. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Go, or Rust, and familiarity with cryptographic libraries like OpenSSL or MPC-specific libraries. Strong knowledge of hardware security feures including Intel SGX, hardware security modules (HSMs), and trusted execution environments with remote testion. Experience integring with blockchain nodes/APIs, understanding blockchain transaction forms (e.g., Bitcoin UTXOs, Ethereum RLP), and building wallet backend systems. Solid skills in thre modeling, networking (sockets, RPC frameworks), concurrency control, secure storage, and cloud security best practices. Familiarity with containerizion and secure deployment environments is a plus. 15+ years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a reled discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial   BNY assesses market da to ensure a competitive compension package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $147,000 and $250,000 per year the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market locion, and is only part of the BNY total compension package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.  This position is -will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compension) any time, including for reasons reled to individual performance, change in geographic locion, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
