S. Wieder Architect PC (SWA) is a growing architecture and design practice seeking a talented and versatile individual to help expand our team and support our interior architecture and multi-family residential divisions. Our work includes ground-up and renovation projects across medium- to large-scale multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial developments. We are seeking a Project Architect/Intermediate Architect with strong design skills and 5–8 years of professional experience—including expertise in, Construction Documents, and Building Information Modeling. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and capable of managing all aspects of a project from concept through construction. Responsibilities • Lead all project phases, including Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents. • Produce and review architectural drawings, construction documents, and specifications. • Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors. • Create presentation drawings, materials boards, fabric schemes, and related client-facing deliverables. • Assist with technical drawings, design studies, and conceptual presentation imagery. Candidate Qualifications • High proficiency in popular softwares (required). • Strong communication, organization, and client-interface skills. • Demonstrated experience in project delivery and coordination across all architectural phases. • Knowledge of construction materials, assemblies, and detailing. • Working understanding of NYC Building Code and zoning regulations. • Relevant NYC project experience preferred. • Experience in Construction Administration. • Ability to motivate, guide, and collaborate with team members. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture. • 5–8 years of professional experience in an architectural office.
