Our staff is part of the Pension in New Jersey. \r\n\r\nNurse Responsibilities\r\n Carrying out written orders of the medical home and standing orders of the school physician;\r\n Conducting health screenings which include height, weight, blood pressure, hearing, vision and scoliosis;\r\n Monitoring vital signs and general health status for emergent issues for students suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and controlled dangerous substances;\r\n Maintaining student health records;\r\n Recommending to the school principal those students who shall not be admitted to or retained in the school building based on a parent‘s failure to provide evidence of the child‘s immunization according to specified schedules;\r\n Annually reviewing student immunization records to confirm with the medical home that the medical condition for the exemption from immunization continues to be applicable;\r\n Recommending to the school principal exclusion of students who show evidence of communicable disease;\r\n Directing and supervising the emergency administration of epinephrine and training school staff designated to serve as delegates;\r\n Administering asthma medication through use of a nebulizer;\r\n Directing and supervising the health services activities of any school staff to whom the certified School Nurse has delegated a nursing task;\r\n When appropriate, transmitting a summary of relevant health and medical information to a Child Study Team;\r\n Writing and updating, at least annually, the individualized health care plan and the individualized emergency healthcare plan for students’ medical needs and instructing staff as appropriate;\r\n Implementing and assisting in the development of healthcare procedures for students in the event of an emergency;\r\n Instructing teachers on communicable disease and other health concerns;\r\n Providing other nursing services consistent with the School Nurse‘s certification;\r\n Collaborating with staff in grade-level and department planning meetings, and in professional development activities;\r\n Helping with school-wide activities and providing supervision of students during class, breaks, and meals when needed;\r\n Any other tasks dictated by the School Principal related to student health and wellness;\r\n Assisting with tasks necessary for the successful and orderly functioning of the school (such as hallway supervision, arrival/departure transitions, field trips, and other such duties as the school leadership may request from staff); and\r\n Participating in events outside of normal school hours such as family nights, student performances, field trips, and teacher–parent conferences.\r\n Requirements\r\n The Candidate needs to possess School Nurse certification in New Jersey. Must communicate this information with the press leads.\r\n Required to input information regarding low yields on EPICS with an explanation of why and suggestions of corrective actions.\r\n Inspect cut lengths, critical dimensions and visually inspect material using measurement tools (including but not limited to ASCONA scans)\r\n Ensure proper handling of material to maintain quality and good product. \r\n Ensure skids are packed and bundled securely and all material coming off the saw is cleaned, free of defects and is good quality product adhering to our quality standards\r\n Ensure proper weight is measured and recorded to the minimum tolerance of 40 lbs.\r\n Ensure efficient skid changeovers by being proactive and looking at subsequent work orders. \r\n Effectively communicate any issues with Press Leads, such as poor yield, die variance, weight discrepancies, and scanning issues.\r\n Escalate issues with the maintenance team immediately for any mechanical related downtime such as saw blade malfunction, saw clamp malfunction, etc.\r\n Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy line with focus on 5S to ensure good housekeeping is followed throughout the shift. \r\n Ensure materials (skids, separators, sandwiches, etc.) are available at the saw station for duration of the shift.\r\n Be proactive in communicating with forklift drivers when materials are required.\r\n Ensure all quality checks are completed and recorded at the required frequency at the saw.\r\n Ensure Ascona scans are completed as per billet entries, and ensure product meet specification. Escalate issues immediately with quality technicians & the press leads.\r\n Ensure quality checks are conducted for visual & dimensional requirements.\r\n Ensure any material that is out of spec is communicated to the press lead to make a prompt decision on whether it is to be scrapped or rectified. \r\n Discuss any issues (mechanical, work-order related, etc.) with following shift, and ensure enough materials are available for a successful start-up.\r\n \r\nStretcher Operation\r\n Run the stretcher (live and dead ends) efficiently as possible and as required to ensure material is cleaned off the table continuously. \r\n Ensure all extrusion pieces that are stretched are straight and twist free, and meet quality requirements (visual A or B). \r\n Regularly check dimensions and flatness and ensure extrusion is not over stretched.\r\n Responsible for batching at storage table with right number of pieces per batch to avoid overcrowding.\r\n Read and follow all notes in EPICS and update notes as required.\r\n Immediately report any issues before, during or after stretching with press leads.\r\n Communicate with saw crew any concerns regarding issues with dimensions and finish, such as marking bad cavities and batch marking.\r\n Report any malfunction in stretching equipment to the press leads and the maintenance team.\r\n Follow stretching instructions as per work order as required.\r\n Comply with all quality related policies, procedures and system requirements.\r\n Requirements\r\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\r\nEducation/Experience \r\n High school Diploma with some technical background and mechanical aptitude. \r\n Extrusion experience is an asset.\r\n Technical Skills/Competence\r\n 1-2 years’ experience in an industrial environment\r\n Knowledge of machinery and ability to read drawings an asset.
