DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of the Production Associate are detailed below, but not limited to the following: Responsible for safely and quality of effectively operating all machines within the department: presses, saws, punch press, drilling, tapping, deburring machines and any other additional equipment that may be purchased in the future Racking, un-racking, and inspection of parts through the anodizing line Check the machine condition for any issues and/or mechanical problems prior to starting it Follow work orders and produce parts according to specifications Ensure material is packed in order of priority according to the pack dates indicated on the WIP Report. Confirm weights and counts are correct. Check material for hardness and record the readings in EPICS. If material is not within spec for hardness, it must be red tagged ahead of the pack stage and QA must be notified. Once an order is complete, ensure the correct tagging colors are used based on work order routing. Adherence to work order instructions are critical such as the notes section for specific customer requirements Pack all orders according to the required pack code so that it reaches its final destination intact. Responsible for inputting data into EPICS throughout the run and upon completion of production Required to check samples periodically according to what is outlined by the quality standards stated on the work order Ensure first piece sample is verified by another personnel to ensure it meets specifications. Verify the material being provided matches with what the work order is asking for to ensure all instructions are being followed Look for material defects, before & during packing, such as but not limited to scratches, dents, and distortion to the profile. Perform dimensional inspection according to the requirements on applicable orders. Shrink wrap material that is shipped in bulk on skids. Use tape and banding as required to secure & maintain the integrity of the material on the skids. Enter required data into our system to create packing tickets and apply tickets to skids. Be curious and ask questions. Make suggestions for improvement & assist in fixing problems. Maintain clean and organized work environment. Comply with all quality related policies, procedures and system requirements. Perform other duties as required. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience Grade 12 education. Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing, using variety of machining, packing, and handling material. Technical Skills/Competence Must have good command of English, written and oral. Support and/or physically fill roles in operations as required and need arises. Responsible for setting up the next shift for success by ensuring smooth continuation of production through cleanliness, schedule adherence, material preparation, and communication of any non-conformances. Review huddleboard and press status with previous shift supervisor and discuss any issues/downtime. Discuss scheduling and any discrepancies – communicate with the scheduling department as necessary to ensure effective and efficient adherence to schedule. Review metrics at end of shift (manpower, downtime, die failures, yield, and maintenance issues) and fill out production matrix. Responsible for ensuring manpower for the next shift is balanced and fully staffed by managing call-ins; request support from other departments and/or call temporary workforce as required. Issue Work requests when required to the Maintenance team with specific details and manage any unplanned downtime by providing alternative assignments while repairs are completed. Monitor workflow during walk around events to ensure good housekeeping practices are observed and aging oven traffic is smooth, consistent and raw material storage is flowing from receipt to its proper location. Support compliance with all Quality management policies and procedures, and when required, contact the Quality team for support on appearance or dimensional concerns. Participate in NCR root cause investigations when required. Support change for the better at Almag by co-operating with others and growing the business. Duties and Responsibilities Must be able to understand and follow guidelines and directions as implemented by the Facility Manager / Supervisor and be able to adhere to all mandatory LOTO (Lock-Out/Tag-Out) and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies. Inspects facilities systems and their components for the purpose of identifying necessary repairs. Builds articles (e.g. office furniture, fixtures, partitions, racking, counters, doors, fences and gates etc.) for purpose of modifying facilities to specific needs. Repairs on mechanical infrastructure such as conveyor systems, GOH monorail, and motors. Maintains tools, equipment and system components for purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating conditions. Responds to situations resolving immediate safety concerns. Collects recycling and waste around warehouse to dispense in waste containers. Follows cleaning and disinfecting procedures to ensure health and safety of facility personnel. Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities (e.g. janitorial, loading and/or offloading containers and relocation of goods). Work under limited supervision using standardized practices directing other persons within a small work unit. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Two to five years of related maintenance, warehouse, or construction experience is preferred. Work regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs; occasionally, with team support, lift and/or move objects greater than 30 lbs. Significant carrying, pushing, pulling, and bending. Ability to work overtime, nights, holidays, or weekends as needed. Bilingual in English and Spanish is not required, but is preferred.
