The Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care to patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders, supports a therapeutic setting and ensures the safety and well-being of patients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in identifying patients' problems, needs, and strengths Suggests modifications to treatment plan based on observations of patients' behavior Provides input into discharge planning Monitors patients' progress Communicates information regarding patients' behavior to other members of treatment team Encourages and facilitates patients' participation in therapeutic activities Supervises patients to ensure their safety and their involvement in treatment. This position provides group therapy, discharge planning, treatment planning, and assessments. Responsible for performing psycho-social assessments on all patients to determine social service needs, diagnosis and plan of care. Evaluates patient data and develops and implements a plan of care for the patient. Works cooperatively as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Completes progress notes in a timely manner. Appropriately utilizes established resources to assist in completing case management duties independently. Documents treatment provided to patients in their medical record based on established case management guidelines. Completes all reports for suspected abuse as legally mandated and consistently informs supervisor. Provides individual patient and family therapy and crisis intervention Communicates with family members and caretakers regarding the needs of the patient and anticipated plans. Creates appropriate discharge plans as needed for the patient’s discharge. The Opportunity: Total Life is currently seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Nevada to provide virtual individual and group therapy. Therapists must have proven experience working with clients suffering from anxiety, depression, grief and loss, loneliness, life transition, and medication/pain management. Your Role: Provide virtual individual and or group therapy Utilize psychotherapy and evidence-based approaches to improve outcomes Requirements Our Requirements: Must have a valid Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family (LMFT), Professional Counselor (LPC) or Mental Health Counselor License in the state of Nevada. At least two years of clinical experience, post-licensure conducting psychotherapy utilizing CBT, DBT and other solution-focused approaches Must possess and provide proof of professional liability insurance/malpractice insurance or will need to purchase a policy prior to hiring. Maintain current liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 claim limit/$3,000,000 aggregate Must have an active NPI Must be available to start with a minimum of 10 hours per week Must be comfortable utilizing technology and providing teletherapy Existing credentialing with Medicare is a plus CAQH credentialing already set up is a plus Must be able to pass a criminal background check Benefits Compensation: $55-$70 per session based on experience and credentials.
