HGHB Architects is seeking a Senior Architect to lead projects, manage clients, mentor staff, and play a key role in shaping the future of the firm. This position is ideal for someone who wants to take on real leadership responsibilities in a small but growing Monterey practice. Duties: • Lead client communication + project direction • Guide design + documentation from concept through construction • Manage budgets, schedules, scopes, and consultant coordination • Mentor and develop junior/mid-level staff • Support proposals + occasional BD efforts • Work closely with the Principal on firm growth, staff development, and long-term direction • Help cultivate a positive, collaborative studio culture as we expand Requirements: • Professional Architecture degree; CA license strongly preferred • 10+ years experience with strong technical + management background • AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Office required; SketchUp/Adobe preferred • DSA experience strongly preferred • Excellent communication and follow-through • Must be local; in-office position Benefits: • Competitive senior-level salary • Health stipend, PTO, holidays • 401(k) after 1 year • CEU + AIA membership reimbursement • Profit sharing + bonuses Relocation stipend and DSA-experience hiring bonus available for qualified candidates relocating to the Monterey area.
