Duties Include Planning, fabrication and installation of new wiring for fixtures, equipment, and building systems. Electrical knowledge is a must, will rewire machines. Perform preventative maintenance per work orders. Diagnose problems and develop/implement solutions. Order supplies, discuss scheduling and work order administration with Production Manager. Requirements Must have at least two years of manufacturing electrical experience High school degree or equivalent required. Journeyman's Card required. Have completed a D.O.L. certified apprentice program in an appropriate field, plus (4) four years experience in industrial maintenance operations after apprenticeship or appropriate vocational training Industrial experience with eight (8) years performing industrial maintenance functions. Must possess basic computer skills. Must be able to work independently with written or verbal instructions. Compliance with all Safety, TS 16949, and ISO 9000 requirements. Working knowledge of 5S. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to operate overhead hoist and any other equipment necessary to perform duties. Able to operate a forklift and pallet jack. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for most of the shift. Some climbing, crawling, and/or kneeling may be required. Valid driver's license needed. Benefits This position pays $29.59/hr plus the chance to make an additional 11% incentive each week. This is a 1st shift, union position. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. TUBE MILL ENTRY LEVEL PACKAGER - 2nd Shift Cleveland-Cliffs Tubular Components has an immediate opportunity for a Tube Mill Entry Level Operator at our Walbridge, Ohio Tubular Components location. This position is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and operating the off loader and packaging section of the tube mill on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for ensuring the tubing is off loaded and packaged per the customer requirements. Summary of Responsibilities: Offload, hand stack, and package steel tubing manually. Assemble bundles correctly to protect product from damage. Monitor auto off loaders to ensure tubes are off loading correctly. Inspect finished goods and reject non-conforming product Visually inspect tubing for quality defects. Ability to use measuring devices to measure tubing. Repacking and banding - repack tubing into bundles, pack, and / or band bundles according to customer requirements. Technical skill set to perform changeovers and set up. Other duties as assigned. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect parts per inspection plan and control plan guidelines Oil dip springs as required Spin parts as required Pack springs as required Operator is responsible for all quality aspects of the product Continuously verifies adherence to quality specifications, using calipers, micrometers, gauges, load test, and optical equipment. Records data on production and Quality Control records and performs S.P.C. procedures. Operator is responsible to operate as many machines as possible without neglecting the safety of the employee or the product quality Must operate machine at approved machine cycle and productivity requirements.
