Maintain a clean, organized job site and a well inventoried truck. Work alongside customer experience coordinators and dispatchers to ensure overall success of the service call. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform basic functionality testing on units, as well as diagnosing, conducting repairs, and cleaning multiple types of laundry and kitchen appliance products like dishwashers, ranges, and ovens Visually inspect appliances, and check for unusual noises, excessive vibration, fluid leaks, or loose parts to determine why the appliances fail to operate properly Disassemble the appliance to examine its internal parts for signs of wear or corrosion Technicians tighten, align, clean, and lubricate parts as necessary Learn to read schematics, follow wiring diagrams, and use testing devices such as ammeters, voltmeters, and wattmeters to check electrical systems for shorts and faulty connections Repair appliances with electronic parts, and replace circuit boards or other electronic components After identifying problems- replace or repair defective belts, motors, heating elements, switches, gears, or other items Use care to conserve, recover, and recycle chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), and hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) refrigerants used in the cooling systems, as required by law Maintain the company vehicle properly and ensure that it is well stocked Excellent communication skills, both face to face and over the phone. Must be self-directed Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in appliance repair Ability to communicate with customers in a clear, confident manner throughout the entire service so that they are aware what is going on inside their home/business. Ability to adjust your communications to provide the best customer experience possible. Ability to create detailed job notes in the customer’s account for future reference. Ability to both teach and learn by sharing thoughts/experiences with your coworkers in meetings and in one-to-one interactions. Willingness to try new ideas and recommend process improvements to your manager with the objective of improving efficiency/effectiveness. Frequent communication with dispatchers so that they know the status of each job for scheduling purposes. The ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace both in a customer’s property and your company vehicle. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Check in with the office for scheduled jobs after the completion of each job and at the end of each workday. During and at the end of each task complete all company-provided forms possible. Responsible for time management of jobs scheduled each day. Check in with clients at the beginning and end of each task to make sure they are aware of everything going on throughout the entire visit. Obtain client signature on company provided forms where applicable. Upon completion of each task record time spent at each job on the weekly time sheet. Hand in paperwork, checks, or cash at the end of each week for processing. Ensure all materials used for each task are listed properly on the company provided forms. Answer all office pages/calls in a timely manner. Check in as needed to ensure office dispatcher and/or field supervisor are aware of your status. Secure parts and tools needed throughout the day for various jobs as required. Call in repairs to the estimator or field supervisor and provide the necessary info needed to quote the repair and fill out the appropriate quote forms as required. Consult field supervisor or dispatcher in times of uncertainty. Understands basic refrigeration cycle to include identifying components in refrigeration circuit, understanding how each component works, diagnosing problems in the refrigeration circuit, using manifold gauge set, pressure/temperature chart and temperature measuring devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot. Understands refrigeration recovery, evacuation and charging. Understands basic electrical theory, how electricity travels, AC and DC currents, single phase and three phase circuits, and series and parallel circuits. Ability to read basic wiring diagrams. Understanding of Ohms Law. Ability to use multi-meters to read voltage, current and resistance values. Must be able to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits. Understands the process of treating air to simultaneously control its temperature, humidity, and distribution. Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings. Understands basic heating cycle to include identifying components in heating system, understanding how each component works, diagnosing problems in the heating system using a gas pressure test and other devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated RV Service Technician to join our service team and ensure our customers' RVs are maintained and repaired to the highest standards. Hourly pay relative to level of work experience; available weekly production bonuses, add an additional 20% to total weeks pay. Dealership Location: 7072 Raider Rd, Bonne Terre, MO 63628 Responsibilities: Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on a variety of recreational vehicles. The primary duties will include: Performing inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components. Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner. Conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure RVs meet quality and safety standards before delivery to customers. Documenting all work performed, including parts used and labor time, in the dealership's service management system. Communicating with service advisors and customers to provide detailed explanations of repairs and maintenance work.
