A downtown St. Louis-based manufacturer is seeking an energetic and quality-minded professional to fill a Machine Operator position. Capable persons will have experience using power hand tools & machinery in the manufacturing of cabinetry, countertops, or tabletops. Preferred experience setting up and operating double-end tenon, edge bander, band saw, and or similar type machinery. Also, have a positive attitude and enjoy working in a team environment. Forklift & OSHA certifications are a plus. Sets and adjusts machine controls according to product specifications, utilizing knowledge of machine operations. Selects and attaches the workpiece holding fixture to the drive mechanism, and positions or clamps the workpiece to the fixture Removes the workpiece and examines it to ensure it meets specifications.
