Hands-on experience valued over formal education DST Communications & Networking is looking for a dependable and experienced Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This is a part-time position with the potential to grow into a full-time role based on experience, performance, and the ability to work semi-independently alongside a Low Voltage Project Manager. Job Responsibilities: Pull, route, secure, and conceal low-voltage cabling in commercial and residential environments Terminate and test Category 5, Category 6, and Category 7 cabling Assist with installation and servicing of systems including security cameras, alarm systems, access control, and network infrastructure Read and follow basic project layouts and installation standards Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites Communicate effectively with the project manager and team during installations Job Requirements: Prior hands-on low-voltage experience required (experience is more important than formal education) Working knowledge of low-voltage systems including security, alarms, and networking Strong understanding of Cat5, Cat6, and Cat7 cabling, terminations, and wire-pulling techniques Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical job-site work Must pass a background and security check Must have own set of low-voltage tools Ability to work independently when required while coordinating with a project manager Schedule & Growth: Part-time position to start Opportunity for full-time employment based on experience, reliability, and performance Location: Metro Detroit and surrounding areas
