Business Development Manager - Amazon Brand Acquisitions

Concepta is a fast-growing cosmetics and supplements brand focused on the U.S. market via Amazon. We combine scientific product development with an agile, data-driven business model to build best-selling products. As we expand, we’re creating a dedicated Business Development (M&A) function to acquire Amazon brands that fit our portfolio growth strategy. Role Overview We’re seeking a Business Development Manager to lead our brand acquisition pipeline. This role is all about identifying promising U.S. brands, building trust with founders, and driving acquisition deals from outreach through closing. You’ll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams (finance, legal, design) and directly impact Concepta’s growth trajectory. Responsibilities Brand Sourcing & Outreach: Identify and prioritize acquisition targets, initiate conversations, and build trust with brand owners. Engagement & Relationship Management: Nurture ongoing communication with founders and stakeholders. Represent Concepta at U.S. seller conferences and networking events. NDA & Evaluation: Coordinate NDAs, manage data flow, and support financial/strategic evaluation with internal teams. Deal Structuring & Negotiations: Assist leadership in drafting LOIs and negotiating terms. Closing Support: Facilitate communication and document flow through definitive agreements and closing. Pipeline Management: Manage ~50+ brands in different pipeline stages, ensure accurate reporting and updates. Market Intelligence: Track U.S. cosmetics and nutraceutical trends, spotting new opportunities. Partnership Development: Explore new strategic partnerships complementing Concepta’s portfolio. Requirements Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years in Amazon brand acquisitions / aggregator environment with proven track record. We are currently looking for a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team in Miami. The person in this role will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies to grow our revenue and strengthen our network of agents and partners in the freight forwarding industry. Position Overview: Location: Miami, FL (partially remote, with significant on-site presence required at the beginning). Experience: Minimum of 6-7 years working with international freight forwarders, overseas agents, or local freight forwarders. Languages: English and Spanish (mandatory); Portuguese is a plus. Target Start Date: As soon as possible, ideally before May 9th. Key Responsibilities: Drive new business development and expand our client portfolio. This role will ensure patient demographic, insurance and diagnosis information is correctly entered into CDR registration systems to ensure billing ins accurate and results are provided to the ordering provider. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Interprets, orders, and generates barcode labels from the Lab LIS system and applies labels to appropriate specimen tubes and collection containers. Must be able to interpret many different physician orders and requests and select the appropriate orderable code in the Lab LIS system. Removes biological specimens from biohazard bags including blood, urine, bone marrow, body fluids, and tissue specimens. Understand all different types of collection media, preservatives, and risks of exposure to infectious agents. Handles both infectious A and B substances with appropriate CDC, and IDPH guidelines. Ability to determine if specimen was collected in appropriate collection container and media. Understands steps to resolve collection issues to ensure patient testing is performed or recollected. Receives all calls arriving in the laboratory from providers, clients, nurses, management, and patients. Logs calls in tracking software, answers all questions pertaining to phlebotomy draws, specimen collection, transport of specimens, provides lab results, supply requests, forensic autopsy cases, and administrative questions. Escalates callers to management or technical departments when necessary if unable to resolve all question Correctly enters outpatient and non-patient demographic, insurance, and diagnosis information into the hospital registration system, answering all questions in each field and updating any information that is not current. Recognizes valid diagnosis codes and follows appropriate resolution on any noncompliant codes. Inputs all faxed orders into the lab orders database, questioning any illegible order, calls physician's office with clarification of test order and patient demographics and order request (standing or one time). Follows all instructions on provider order including, add on testing and testing cancelations. Contribute to departmental operations by performing other related duties as may be required and/or assigned. Maintains and scans patient records according to government regulations and accreditation guidelines. Ensures that professional and personal activities conform to CDR Laboratories values. Evaluates specimen received verses testing ordered and confirms specimen collection was accurate and specimens are labeled with appropriate patient identifiers. Recognizes critical "stat" specimens compared to routine testing. Understands all aspects of lab safety regarding specimen handling and processing. Embodies the CDR Laboratories Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency. OTHER PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position. Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 2 years working in a lab related field. Proficient to read and write in Spanish. Strong organizational skills. Basic communication skills required. Knowledge of insurance policy numbers and diagnosis coding definitions helpful. Knowledge of Medical Terminology. Knowledge of laboratory test codes and testing requirements. Demonstrate the ability to type and use a keypad efficiently.
