Identifies and reports trends in kit errors to leadership Apply Now *One time Sign on Bonus of $8,500.00** Schedule: 2:00pm-10:30pm Position Summary: The QA Tech is responsible for reviewing assembled trays for accuracy of instrumention according to the pick sheet as well as instrument placement, good working order and ready for processing. This role must provide immedie feedback and coaching. Document in provided software to track and collect da. Identify discrepancies/errors in count sheet. They may assist in developing, recommending, and implementing educion needs, internal standards, policies and procedures to improve quality and effectiveness of pient care and sterile processing. QA may be asked to participe in hospital, departmental and multidisciplinary programs, committees and special projects. Key Responsibilities:Maintains and audits review kits for accuracy and proper instrument functionality; ensures da entry into the system. Identifies and reports trends in kit errors and findings from SPM collion to leadership and monthly staff meetings Reviews and inspects case carts for accuracy and completeness; assists in creing missing or priority item lists. Provides immedie feedback and coaching to assemblers; identifies staff resistant to coaching and escales to educors for targeted training Recognizes and documents staff who are unreceptive to feedback. Accurely reports all discrepancies and quality concerns. Supports enterprise-wide quality assurance programs and initiives. Performs additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualificions: Educion:High School Diploma or Surgical Technologist required Bachelor’s Degree preferred Experience:5+ years of relable experience Licensure/ Certificions:Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) OR certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required CIS preferred The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expection for this pay the time of posting.
