Part Time Leasing Agent
Somerville/Everett
Somerville/Everett residential multifamily owner seeks part time seasonal leasing agent to handle advertising and leasing of residential rental properties in Somerville/Everett during leasing season. Typically 20-25 of our apartments turnover every year.
Position would would run from March to September during the primary leasing season.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining photos and video of apartments
Advertising apartments on websites
Corresponding with prospective tenants
Showing unit to prospective tenants
Processing applications
Creating and executing lease paperwork
Maintaining paperwork, documentation, photos and video on company electronic file system
Verbal and electronic communication with property manager on how leasing process is going for each individual apartment. Attendance of weekly meetings.
Requirements:
Basic computer skills and aptitude, use of docusign, google docs, .pdf editing, spreadsheets, ability to save files to google drive folders
Ability to use websites, social media to do advertising
Professional communications skills and etiquette
Ability to communicate via phone, email, text, and other electronic mediums
Good organizational skills, self starter
Use of own laptop (allowance provided)
Flexible schedule, ability to meet when prospective tenants want to meet, often evenings and weekends
Knowledge of Somerville and Everett helpful, living in or near Somerville/Everett helpful
Compensation:
$1,000/month base pay, commission of $500/apartment signed, mileage of miles driven at IRS rate of 72.5 cents per mile, laptop allowance $50/month (company provides cell phone for business use), reimbursement of expenses. Paid biweekly as a W-2 employee subject to statutory withholdings.
