Summary: Seeking a hands-on Foreman to oversee, instruct, and participate in utility installation/repair, manage projects from start to finish, and ensure quality and safety. Highlights: 1. Focus on quality and safety standards We are a small family-owned excavating and utility company located in Frederick, MD with work in Frederick, Howard, Carroll, Anne Arundel, Montgomery, and Prince George's Counties. We are looking for a hardworking HANDS-ON Foreman that can take charge and manage a job from beginning to end. Responsibilities: · Oversee, instruct, and participate in utility installation/repair. (Water, Sewer, Storm) · Operate machines as needed · Perform any required testing for installed systems. · Responsible for crew performance in meeting quality and safety standards · Fill out electronic daily reports & tickets · Communicate effectively and maintain positive relations with GC's, owners, inspectors & vendors. · Identify/document changes and notify owner before proceeding. · Take all steps necessary to complete the contract in accordance with the contract provisions. · Responsible for daily planning of material, equipment, and labor needs. Qualifications: · At least 5 years of Water & Sewer Utility experience · At least 2 years of Utility Foreman experience · Valid Driver’s License Required · Extensive knowledge of the tools and equipment involved in utility work · MUST be able to understand and interpret construction drawings and specs · Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate crew members’ work Additional Info: · Paid Vacation · Paid Holidays · Paid Life & Disability Insurance · Hourly/Salary negotiable
