Government Relations (Friendship Heights, MD)

We are looking for a seasoned and experienced worker to connect directly with Capitol Hill. Three to five years in the workforce is preferred. You'd be working in a team to connect constituents with their elected lawmakers. The job is in-person. You'd be working 40 hours a week. When we have events, longer days may be required. You will have notice ahead of time. It's listed as "part time" because it is a seasonal job meaning the work is from early-January until late spring or early summer. In late spring to early summer, we can discuss possibilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include scheduling and following up on meetings via phone and email, responding to our contacts in those offices and helping constituents with logistics of those meetings. On certain days, you will be interacting with advocates at event locations in D.C. This is not a sales job. -Must have a college degree -Friendly and works well in a team setting -Strong communication skills – in email, on the phone, and in the office -Social skills – ability to maintain polite, professional, and personable conversations -Comfortable with computers and databases.
