Mentor junior engineers and troubleshoot complex issues Apply Now Description Looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to support a large Air Force, IT enterprise, Cyber Weapons System/Program in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will lead the design, deployment, and optimizion of hybrid cloud and virtualizion infrastructures across multiple plforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI. You will leverage Infrastructure-as-Code tools, containerizion, orchestrion, and monitoring solutions to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective operions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will integre cloud services, enforce security and compliance standards, and support CI/CD pipelines within a DevSecOps framework. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, and document processes to maintain operional excellence and continuous improvement. Primary Responsibilities Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of hybrid cloud infrastructures across on-premises and commercial/government cloud plforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) utilizing IaaS and PaaS solutions. Administer and optimize virtualizion plforms such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, and cloud-nive virtualizion technologies. Assist with automing deployments, configurions, and resource provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormion. Collabore with cloud and infrastructure teams to support integrion efforts and ensure consistent enterprise solutions. Implement and support containerizion and orchestrion technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes within cloud and hybrid environments. Monitor cloud and virtualizion environments to maintain system availability, performance, scalability, and operional efficiency. Troubleshoot infrastructure, applicion, and system issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions as needed. Apply security best practices including IAM, encryption, and network segmention while supporting compliance with frameworks such as RMF, NIST, and ISO 27001. Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines and assist with automion efforts across the software development lifecycle. Configure and maintain monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) to support operional monitoring and incident response activities. Maintain technical documention including system configurions, operional procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members and collabore effectively within cross-functional teams. Work closely with engineering, operions, and program stakeholders to support infrastructure solutions aligned with mission and business requirements. Basic Qualificions: Requires BS and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree. Must have a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certificion (Security+ CE or equivalent). Must have an advanced cloud certificion (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer for example). Must have an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI Preferred Skills and Certificions: Cloud Certificions: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer. Security Certificions: CISSP, CEH, GIAC or Cloud Security Automion (GCSA). Experience with security frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST 800-53). Knowledge of scripting or programming languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Familiarity with log management and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dadog, or ELK stack).
