Apply Now Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring for a Journeyman Systems Engineer specializing in Microsoft Endpoint Configurion Manager (MECM) to support a mission-critical U.S. Coast Guard program. This position will be loced in Alexandria, VA and will be a hybrid position. Responsibilities: As a Journeyman Systems Engineer, you will support the engineering, deployment, and administrion of the MECM environment to ensure continuous operional readiness. Core responsibilities include:  Assist in the engineering and maintenance of the MECM infrastructure to ensure consistent endpoint availability and system health across the enterprise. Deploy and monitor software packages, security updes, and critical pches, ensuring all systems remain functional and compliant. Develop and maintain task sequences for automed OS deployments, ensuring consistent imaging, hardware compibility, and driver integrion. Coordine and execute daily pch management operions, including scheduling deployments and remediing failed installions. Monitor and remedie endpoint compliance to ensure all systems adhere to organizional security policies and federal standards. Perform advanced troubleshooting for MECM client health, software distribution errors, and deployment failures across the enterprise. Utilize and refine PowerShell scripts to autome routine administrive tasks and improve endpoint management efficiency. Maintain detailed records of system configurions, engineering designs, and operional procedures. Genere regular reports on deployment stus, hardware inventory, and overall endpoint compliance for stakeholders. Qualificions: High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensure experience) Required Skills & Experience  DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certificion (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+). Professional experience implementing and managing MECM/SCCM in an enterprise environment. Strong understanding of Windows Server plforms (2012–2022+) and core infrastructure services (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS). Solid experience with Windows imaging, Task Sequences, and driver management. Proficiency with VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V. Competency in PowerShell for automion and systems management. Experience building and maintaining lab environments for validion and troubleshooting. Knowledge of pch cycles, upde deployments, and compliance reporting. Strong communicion skills with the ability to transle technical requirements between engineering teams and operional stakeholders.  Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance   Preferred Skills & Experience  Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) programs. Endpoint Administror Associe or Windows Server Hybrid Administror Associe certificions. Experience with Intune/MECM co-management or hybrid cloud environments.
