Onsite hardware swaps, cable tracing, rack/stack, decommissioning tasks 1099 FIELD NETWORK TECHNICIAN – SMART HANDS / BREAK-FIX Orlando $30/hr (1099) | 2-Hour Minimum Per Ticket ($60 minimum per dispatch) Project-Based / On-Call (Days, Nights, Weekends) READ BEFORE APPLYING This is NOT full-time work. This role is physical execution only. Remote engineers provide all technical direction. Work includes onsite hardware swaps, cable tracing, rack/stack, decommissioning, and physical verification tasks. COVERAGE AREA Primary: Los Angeles Secondary (optional): Travel anywhere in California for additional assignments. Travel is optional but available, and approved mileage reimbursement is provided for qualifying travel assignments. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE • 3+ years IT, cabling, or field service experience • Ability to follow detailed remote instructions exactly • Comfortable working in enterprise / data center environments • Basic understanding of networking hardware preferred REQUIRED TOOLS Must own: • Laptop • Console cable • Smartphone with data plan • Drill/driver • Cable tester • Basic hand tools Preferred: • Punch-down tool • Crimp tool • Label maker WORK SCOPE • Equipment removal and replacement • Rack and stack installations • Cable tracing and labeling • Structured cabling • Device decommissioning • Physical connectivity verification • Site surveys and documentation REQUIREMENTS • 1099 contractor only • NDA required prior to assignment • Clean background required • Professional appearance and communication • Reliable, punctual, self-managed • Must follow remote technical instructions exactly
