Summary: Seeking a part-time senior computer programmer to assist, create, and manage key computer systems, working with a peer and comfortable with complex problem-solving. Highlights: 1. Contribute to designing and creating new projects and improving old ones Very stable accounting services company seeks part time senior computer programmer - developer to assist, create and manage key computer systems. They were built with MS SQL, VB6, VB.NET, Visual Studio, Office 365, Excel etc. You will be working with another sr. developer. Additionally, you should be comfortable solving complex problems with limited assistance. The hours are flexible, normally Saturday (9 to ?) and various evenings (6 to ?) or other hours you are available. Sizeable VB6 system requires constant maintenance and eventual translation to .net. Many projects representing years of programming and development are available. You must be able to help design and create "on the fly" new projects and improve old ones. New projects will not have 100% specifications at startup. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Excellent English both oral and written. Able to work in the US. 5+ years programming experience. Microsoft Visual Studio VB 6 VB.NET MS SQL Server (t-sql, stored procedures, views, triggers) Will consider contractors for part time position. YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN 15 MINUTES TRAVEL TIME OF CHATSWORTH. Reliability is very important. Expect a full background examination. Remote will not be considered due to constant designing issues.
