The main duties of the Technician are to ensure th all electrical schemics and instrumention are calibred and current, troubleshooting during unscheduled equipment downtime, repairs and complete preventive maintenance service. Why work MCC: Compension: $32.00-$35.00/hr This is a 1st shift opening Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k) Paid Holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floing Holidays Responsibilities: Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures all times, as well as promoting a safety culture and awareness within their area. Ensures all quality and food safety practices are followed all times in support of BRC (British Retail Consortium) Assist other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of printing presses, finishing equipment, and support equipment in a safe manner. Perform all maintenance activities such as predictive and preventive maintenance, work orders and improvement projects via the CMMS system. Coordine and perform all maintenance activities (PM, work orders, improvement projects, etc.) to effectively balance maintenance and production needs. Provide a timely, practical, and professional response to work orders, including the ability to communice with press operors to understand and diagnose equipment issues. Root cause analysis to troubleshoot and elimine primary causes of downtime, etc. to improve OEE (overall equipment effectiveness). Maintain good housekeeping in the work areas and maintenance areas. Coach machine operors in a positive manner on the proper way to opere equipment. Participe in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Qualificions: 3-5 years of demonstred experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumic applicions. HVAC experience with process chillers is a plus. Knowledge of AC/DC variable frequency drives (VFD’s), servo motors, and controls wiring. Ability to read electrical and pneumic schemics Ability to use test equipment (multi-meter, laptop, micrometers, calipers, infrared guns, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting equipment problems. Can troubleshoot PLC’s and their inputs/outputs. Programming of PLC’s is not required General skills reling to the use of shop equipment such as drill presses, power tools, mills, and lhes. Proficiency with computers, such as email, internet, and MS Office applicions. Prior CMMS experience necessary. Requires physical ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms, push, pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle merial for extended time frames. Must have ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeedly and regularly. Includes the ability to stoop, squ, crawl and kneel as needed. Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks. Must have strong problem solving skills and tention to detail. Strong communicion skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and supervisors. Must have ability to multi-task and to identify and execute process improvements as needed.
