Position Summary: SSC CPAs + Advisors, Inc. is offering a unique Summer Internship opportunity designed to provide students with hands-on experience across three key lines of service: Tax, Audit, and Client Accounting Services (CAS). This rotational internship is ideal for students eager to explore various areas of public accounting and build a strong foundation for their future careers. Interns will be assigned a Mentor or a Senior Navigator to guide them through the experience, with opportunities to shadow professionals, assist with client work, and participate in firm events, training, and community involvement. Key Responsibilities: In Tax: Support the preparation of individual and business tax returns Organize and review tax documents Assist with basic tax research projects In Audit (Assurance): Assist with audit fieldwork and testing procedures Help compile workpapers and document findings Participate in internal audit team meetings and discussions In Client Accounting Services (CAS): Support account reconciliations and bookkeeping tasks Assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting Work with accounting software such as QuickBooks and others General: Collaborate with team members and supervisors across departments Attend Summer Internship Academy sessions for technical and soft skills development Participate in firm-wide initiatives, networking events, and social activities Requirements Qualifications: Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field Completion of introductory accounting courses Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Excellent communication and time-management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with accounting software is a plus Ability to work independently and in a team environment Benefits Why SSC?
