This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping multiple DoD customers develop “bleeding edge” technology protecting our warfighters in the field. Your role will directly support our diverse portfolio of programs through a combinion of requirements and design architecture analysis; MBSE Model development; mentoring junior engineers and assisting technical leadership develop briefing merial. Please Note: Candides must be able to work on-site in Arlington, VA. Primary Responsibilities: As a Senior Systems Engineer with Leidos, you will use MBSE methodologies and tools to help develop system architectures on new development programs and incorporing Leidos unique capabilities into test or fielded HW.  This role will also assist the Solution Architect (SA) or Primary Investigor (PI) in aligning the solution architecture to the customer requirements.  Opportunities for potential customer interaction and ideal way to grow into a SA or PI. Day-to-day life will involve exercising existing tools and models and creing new models to represent emerging systems.  This will be a synthesis of MBSE tools like NoMagic CSM to:   Capture, decompose, and trace system level requirements.   Analyze, define, and refine architectures, and interfaces.  Develop system structure and behavior.  Collabore with government stakeholders, software, test, mechanical and electrical teams.  Mentor junior team members. Basic Qualificions: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or reled field with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience in one of these areas: systems engineering, software engineering, test engineering or reled field. Must be a US Citizen.  Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS. Experience working in a SIL environment.  Experience with SysML, preferably using Cameo/MagicDraw. Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.  Ability to communice effectively in writing and verbally from informal one-on-one discussions or in a small group environment.   Ability to work within a dynamic work environment, ability to handle multiple tasks once (multi-task).  Preferred Qualificions Active TS clearance.  Familiar with Agile Methodologies, preferably SCRUM or Kanban.  Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket. OCSMP (OMG Certificion for Systems Modeling Professionals)  Experience with executable SysML simulion capabilities and scripting languages.  Experience with MBSE methodologies such as Magicgrid.  Understanding of military CONOPS.  Experience leading other systems engineers.
