The Center for Transformative Action (CTA) is seeking applicants for a part-time position to provide bookkeeping and other financial and administrative support services. Experience with QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks Online software is required. CTA is a non-profit organization committed to transformative action, social justice, and creating communities that work for everyone. The successful applicant will be someone with a willingness to learn, who values our goals, is detail-oriented and self-directed, seeks to provide exceptional service, and has good communication skills. Responsibilities include: · Assisting with managing accounts receivable and payable · Ensuring financial data is correct and accurate · Entering expenses, receivables, payroll, and other transactions into QuickBooks · Generating accounting reports, as needed · Filing and other office tasks, as needed Requirements for the position: · Five years’ experience with nonprofit bookkeeping · Experience using QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks Online · Experience with Microsoft Excel · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles · Desire to work for a non-profit social justice organization To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to ctaoffice@cornell.edu.
