We are seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a General Laborer / Building Maintenance worker. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working with machinery, takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe facility, and isn't afraid to get dirty. The position will assist with equipment refurbishment, warehouse and shop duties, and general building and facility maintenance. Responsibilities Equipment & Shop Duties Clean and prepare industrial laundry equipment for refurbishment and shipment Pressure wash, degrease, and remove debris from machines and components Sand, mask, prime, and paint industrial equipment Assist technicians with machine disassembly and reassembly Operate forklifts to move equipment throughout the shop and warehouse Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently Use hand and power tools as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow company safety procedures and wear required PPE Perform other general shop duties as assigned Building & Facility Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of the building, shop, warehouse, and grounds Assist with basic repairs and maintenance of doors, walls, floors, fixtures, and other facility components Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical maintenance as needed Replace light bulbs, filters, hardware, and other basic maintenance items Keep work areas, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas clean and orderly Assist with snow removal, groundskeeping, and other seasonal maintenance as needed Identify maintenance issues and report larger or specialized repairs to management Help maintain a safe, functional, and professional facility for employees and visitors Assist contractors and service technicians when needed Perform other building maintenance and facility duties as assigned Qualifications Preferred: Previous forklift experience and/or forklift certification Experience in industrial cleaning, manufacturing, equipment refurbishment, automotive painting, or general labor Basic building maintenance or facility maintenance experience Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use basic hand and power tools Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or general repairs Ability to follow instructions and work independently Requirements: Must be dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in a physically demanding environment throughout the day Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Willingness to learn new skills and assist wherever needed Ability to safely operate basic tools and equipment Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workplace
