The Mechanical Valve Engineer position is based out of our Byron Clean Energy facility in Byron, IL.

Mid Level - $92,700-$114,000
Sr Level - $122,400-$154,000
Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operions. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical applicion and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulions.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
Provide technical expertise and consultion through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
Provide complete task management of engineering issues.
Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles.
Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configurion management and assuring th standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparion of plans and specificions.
Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or merial flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulions.
Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-level E02 Engineer
B.S. in Engineering, a minimum 2 years Nuclear experience or reled engineering experience
Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, "Selection, Qualificion, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examinion and/or testing in accordance with position duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior E03 Engineer
B.S. in Engineering, a minimum 5 years Nuclear experience or reled engineering experience
Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, "Selection, Qualificion, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examinion and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Preferred Qualificions
Background in valves, AOV/MOVs (air opered valves, motor opered valves)
Professional Engineer Registrion
Advanced technical degree or reled coursework
