Our Diesel Mechanic will work directly with the Maintenance Manager to ensure safe diagnostics and repair of our truck fleet and equipment. Pay re: Competitive pay - plus approximely 5-10 hours of overtime weekly (overtime is time and a half after 40). Schedule: 2:00pm - until close Monday-Thursday, Friday is 10am until 6:30pm with over time as needed plus roting Surdays which are 6am until 11am. Duties and Responsibilities: Performs repairs (including electrical and hydraulic systems) and assigned preventive maintenance services. Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initie or assign repairs. Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment. Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associed with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. Reviews and completes repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corpore and OSHA standards. Requirements: Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record. Ability to work in all weher conditions. Ability to lift least 50lbs repeedly. Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
