Residential Remodeling Helper / Carpentry Apprentice
Compensation: (DOE) Employment Type: Part-time to start, with potential to grow into full-time (Monday–Friday) Experience Level: Entry level — willing to train the right person Location: Job sites across Kootenai County, ID
About the Role
We're an established residential contractor looking for a hard-working, reliable, and motivated helper to join our team. You'll work directly alongside experienced tradespeople on high-end kitchen and bathroom remodels, custom cabinet installations, and home additions.
This is a great opportunity to learn the trades, build real skills, and grow into a lead installer or carpenter role.
What You'll Be Doing
Assisting with job site setup, daily prep, clean-up, and dust containment
Loading and unloading tools, materials, and cabinetry
Assisting with selective demolition, framing, and drywall prep
Holding materials, measuring, and cutting under supervision
Running errands for shop and job site materials as needed
Keeping job sites clean, safe, and organized
What We're Looking For
Reliability first. Show up on time, ready to work, every day.
Transportation. Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and current insurance.
Work ethic. Strong physical stamina (able to regularly lift 50+ lbs) and a positive, eager-to-learn attitude.
Basic tools. Tool belt, tape measure, hammer, utility knife, safety gear, and work boots. Power tools provided.
Communication. Respectful demeanor around clients and comfortable following instructions closely.
Experience. 6+ months of construction or shop experience preferred, but not required — we'll train the right person with a strong work ethic.
