The Leasing Agent will be responsible for marketing available rental properties, assisting prospective residents, conducting property tours, processing rental applications, and providing excellent service to current residents. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, professional, and comfortable working independently while also being part of a team. This position plays an important role in creating a positive experience for both prospective and current residents. Key Responsibilities - Market and advertise available rental units. - Respond to prospective tenant inquiries by phone, email, and in person. - Schedule and conduct property tours. - Explain rental rates, lease terms, community amenities, and property policies. - Process rental applications and verify applicant information. - Prepare and execute lease agreements in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. - Follow up with prospective residents and maintain accurate leasing records. - Assist with move-ins, move-outs, lease renewals, and resident requests. - Maintain current knowledge of available units, pricing, promotions, and community features. - Coordinate with maintenance and property management teams to address resident concerns. - Maintain professional relationships with residents, vendors, and team members. - Work toward leasing, occupancy, and customer-service goals. - Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies. - Provide a welcoming, professional, and positive experience for residents and prospective residents. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - Previous experience in leasing, sales, customer service, hospitality, or property management preferred. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Professional appearance and positive attitude. - Strong organizational and time-management abilities. - Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. - Basic computer and property-management software skills. - Strong attention to detail and follow-through. - Ability to work weekends or evenings as required.
