WOMEN HELPING WOMEN is seeking qualified applicants for: Shelter Advocate (Weekday Evening Shift Full Time) This position is summarized as follows: To assist shelter residents in accessing legal, health and community resources, to encourage the development of self-esteem, parenting skills, etc. and to support overall program philosophy statement and policies of Women Helping Women. Duties include answering the 24-hour domestic violence hotline, handling crisis calls, providing in-person services to shelter residents, maintaining client files and activity logs, and other assigned duties. Position details include: 40 hours per week: Monday-Thursday 2:00pm-10:00pm, Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm $18.75 per hour; semi-monthly pay periods position reports to Shelter Director located at Women Helping Women's shelter Benefits include: medical (choice of HMSA HMO, HMSA PPO or Kaiser HMO), dental (HDS), retirement account (403b plan with 3% WHW base contribution), generous PTO/paid time off (10 hours accrued twice per month, starting with first pay period) and holiday pay (all State holidays except election day).
