This role leads solution engineering activities across architecture and engineering design, proof-of-concept execution, pilot validion, and technical recommendions aligned to OIT priorities. The position drives da-informed decision-making by producing quantitive analyses of alternives and clear recommendion packages for SEC stakeholders. The role also supports continuous improvement goals in the PWS by documenting outcomes, risks, and implemention considerions for enterprise infrastructure modernizion. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Enterprise Solution Engineering Perform day-to-day solution engineering activities to identify technologies th meet SEC enterprise requirements. Transle functional, operional, and business requirements into technical solution requirements and design criteria. Develop architecture and engineering design approaches th align with SEC infrastructure, security, and operional objectives. Collabore with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and supportable. Proof of Concept, Pilots, and Demonstrions Plan, execute, and document proof-of-concept efforts to valide candide technologies. Conduct pilots and technical demonstrions to evalue solution suitability for SEC mission and operional use cases. Define success criteria, test scenarios, and evaluion metrics for each PoC/pilot activity. Summarize pilot findings, limitions, and implemention readiness for leadership decision support. Analysis of Alternives and Recommendions Evalue tradeoffs between competing technical solutions using quantitive, criteria-based methods. Build analysis of alternives (AoA) artifacts th compare cost, risk, performance, security, and operional impact. Produce recommendion papers th clearly document methods, alternives considered, and rionale for selected options. Identify follow-on engineering tasks, dependencies, and additional analysis needed before full implemention. Documention, Reporting, and Stakeholder Engagement Produce clear technical documention of architecture options, engineering results, pilot outcomes, and recommendions. Present findings to SEC stakeholders and governance forums to support informed technology decisions. Maintain traceability from requirements through evaluion, recommendion, and next-step actions. Contribute to continuous improvement by incorporing lessons learned and upding supporting documention. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS This position is restricted to U.S. citizens only. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Informion Technology, Computer Science, Engineering). In lieu of degree, additional experience is required. Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust. 8+ years of reled experience providing business solutions engineering support in enterprise IT environments. Experience in architectural design, engineering design, proof-of-concept development, pilot execution, analysis, results, and documention. Experience mapping functional requirements to technical requirements and producing formal recommendion artifacts. Enterprise solution architecture and engineering design. Functional-to-technical requirements mapping and traceability. Proof-of-concept, pilot, and demo planning/execution. Quantitive analysis of alternives and tradeoff evaluion. Technical writing, research documention, and recommendion reporting. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience supporting federal IT programs and infrastructure modernizion initiives. Experience applying zero-trust and federal security/compliance considerions (e.g., FISMA/FedRAMP) in solution evaluions. Experience developing da-driven dashboards, metrics, or performance reporting to support technology decisions. Experience evaluing cloud and hybrid enterprise technologies (e.g., Azure, Microsoft 365, endpoint/operions plforms). Experience briefing technical and non-technical stakeholders and faciliting governance-board decision cycles.
