Opportunity to operate a scissor lift and travel for work Vi-Tel is looking to hire Data Techs willing to travel for nationwide rollout projects. Scope Of Work includes pulling cables, terminating cables on patch cables or data jacks, dressing cable, recording switch ports, installing switches in Walmart stores, installing network cabinets in Walmart stores, operating a scissor lift, and taking photos of before and after work. Prior Walmart experience is required for his position. Requirements Low Voltage/ some Electrical experience. Provide your own hand tools (Hand tools mostly, will also need cable toner, and cat-5 tester) If possible Must have experience working in Walmart stores Must have smart phone for photos of completed work Must have laptop for scheduling, Timesheets, and possible switch programming (They wont be doing the programing). Will need to know how to use basic applications like their email, and Microsoft teams. Applications will be added by company help desk. Ability to travel (Vans will be provided, will have to travel with someone else Will need to be comfortable with that.) Fiber experience (Fusion Splicing experience necessary) Ability to identify and terminate copper cabling on patch panels. Ability to troubleshoot copper terminations and cabling Ability to communicate with Walmart Management Ability to communicate and follow directions from Remote helpdesk. Ability to operate a scissor lift 19-30ft scissor. Ability to lift 50-100lbs overhead as needed Low voltage cabinet mounting experience
