Job Functions Performs all Nuclear Medicine procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals and complying with all applicable federal, ste, local and other regulory requirements. Communices to the pient the nure of the procedure and answers questions clarifying the procedure for the pient. Demonstres practical applicion of age-reled factors. Assures pient rights and privacy are maintained. Reports any significant problems reled to pient, physicians, nuclear procedures, housekeeping, maintenance, supplies, or personnel to Technical Director. Responsible for proper documention and maintenance of all required department records. Attends in service and staff meetings. Responsible for refurbishing supplies in trement rooms. Receives and signs for delivered department supplies and isotopes and ensures all items signed for are delivered. Assist in transporting pients to and from the department. Labels all reagents used to indice identity de of preparion and assay. Performs and documents daily instrument calibrions. Performs all quality controls as required. Wears approprie exposure-monitoring devices all times when in the nuclear area. Administers radioisotopes parenterally when legally permissible. Maintains security of all "hot" and "decay" areas in order to protect all individuals in the hospital. Upon leaving the department, ensures all equipment is properly shut off. Other duties as assigned. Wh qualificions you will need:Educion: Gradue from an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine approved by the Council on Medical Educion of the American Medical Associion or the documented equivalent educion, experience, and training. Licensure: Current certificion by CNMT or ARRT Nuc Med. BLS certificion through American Red Cross (AHA and military certificions accepted) required upon hire. Experience: Ability to perform Nuclear Medicine procedures following accepted standards and protocols.
