Shift Options: 7 PM- 7 AM Rotating Weekends The position will work with children, adolescents and adults We are looking to hire full-time Mental Health Techs (MHT) to provide high quality care to patients on our Senior Adult and Adolescent units who are hospitalized with psychiatric/ emotional disorders. MHT's hired must support the hospital program philosophy of care, support and ensure a therapeutic milieu for all patients, communicate with nursing staff constantly and participate in the patient plan of care. Participate in treatment planning by helping identify patients' problems, needs, and strengths; suggesting modifications to treatment plan based on observations of patients' behavior. Provides input during shift report and discharge planning. Participate in implementing patients' treatment plans by monitoring patients' progress, communicating information regarding patients' behavior to other members of treatment team. Maintains communication with patient, family members, and referral sources in patients' interest Co-facilitates didactic, educational, and community groups within the context of the adolescent treatment program encouraging and facilitating patients' participation in therapeutic activities. Supervises patients to ensure their safety and their involvement in treatment and during transport Participate in maintaining the therapeutic milieu on the unit, enforces the level system or other methods of behavior management. Maintain patient, program, department, and related documentation. Orient new patients to unit, program and milieu. Carry out general nursing assistance as assigned and supervised by nurse in charge. Maintains a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for patients. Assists patients in carrying out activities of daily living, when congruent with the patients' treatment plan and needs, age, and developmental level. Carry out clerical/administrative assignment to support patient care and department and hospital operations. Performs related duties, as requested. CPR and MANDT are required (training required and employer provided) Required Licenses : None Preferred Licenses / Certifications; Registered Behavioral Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant. Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting, phone triage, tele-health or case management or combination of education and experience. Experience in a free standing psychiatric hospital preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be able to multi-task, prioritize with strong time management skills. Screening: Must successfully pass background check, drug screen, physical and be able to provide positive employment references. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION We are hiring a Medical Records Clerk/Coder to assign procedure, and diagnosis codes for insurance billing, review claims data, research, and correspond with insurance companies to obtain accurate reimbursement for healthcare claims. This person will also be responsible for analyzing, abstracting, compiling data, and generating reports. This position must provide customer service excellence when dealing with internal and external contacts. Duties include but are not limited to: Utilize specialized medical classification software to assign procedure and diagnosis codes for insurance billing. Review claims data to ensure that assigned codes meet required legal and insurance rules and that required signatures and authorizations are in place before submission. Conduct medical records research and correspond with insurance companies and healthcare professionals to resolve issues resulting from denied claims Adhere to coding policies and procedures consistent with the industry-standard guidelines for CPT, ICD-9 and ICD-10. Answer coding questions Review clinical documentation to ensure it meets the level of CPT codes and ICD-10 codes Assemble and analyze medical charts to meet department accuracy and productivity requirements. Follows established protocol for assembling charts. Revise and/or update forms and policies, and ensure permanent location and security of data (PHI). Manages daily workload and consistently finishes daily. Ensures that Outpatient charts are received daily. Runs missing chart report and notifies appropriate personnel. Follows through and investigates missing charts. Clarify documentation with the Physician and Director as needed. Completes reports and logs as needed. Periodically covers the duties of receptionist. Provides backup clerical support to various departments. Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response. Handle requests for information and data: reports as requested. Respond to and resolve problems and inquiries. General clerical duties including photocopying, fax, mailing, filing(electronic and paper), sorting and distributing correspondence, preparing and modifying documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails Performs related duties, as requested. These additional certifications are not required but a plus: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), CPC-Hospital, CPC-Payer, Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder (CIRCC) and Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) Experience: A minimum of 1 year coding experience required preferably with psychiatric services Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of medical terminology; basic and advanced ICD-9-CM coding; anatomy and physiology; computer data entry; and medical law, privacy and ethics. Knowledge of CMS rules and regulations and current coding resources Knowledge of Healthcare Common Procedure Coding Systems (HCPCS), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding and healthcare reimbursement methods. Critical thinking skills and ability to resolve complex coding issues Knowledge of mathematical computations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages in order to perform personnel/payroll assignment. Ability to integrate multiple facts, statistics, and/or mathematical values when solving mathematical equations. Ability to accurately enter data, prepare and maintain records, files, and reports. Outstanding skills in giving attention to details with display of dexterity in maintaining confidentiality Must have advanced PC skills that include a combination of working in a Windows Operating System and Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel as well as ability to use financial software and payroll systems (Kronos a plus). Communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and function calmly in situations, which require a high degree of sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
