Electronic repair and logistics technician in Eugene, Oregon.
Schedule is Monday – Friday: 20 to 40 hours per month.
Self-Employment with international distribution company (UK, China, US). 20 year established company located in UK selling small, specialized consumer goods.
Hourly Wage: $25/HR. This is a low volume operation, Work at your own pace.
Perfect for a retired Engineer/Technician person/couple located in or near Eugene OR.
Individuals with 3-5+ yrs. experience working in electronic repair and logistics (forward and reverse) are encouraged to apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Pick up items for repair that are shipped to our Eugene mailbox from within the US
• Approximately twice a week pick up. And ship out
• Inspects product and document all repairs needed
• Knowledge of electronic assembly is preferred (small consumer goods)
• Involves changing out circuit boards & small dc motors as needed with new parts.
• Evaluate for repair or return to stock, items received. Replace circuit board and/or drive motors. Package for shipping and print USPS shipping labels.
• Ensure that product is not damaged cosmetically, suitable for re-stock
• Complete documentation on all repairs and return them to stock. Use of MS Excel and MS word is preferred to build spreadsheet of inventory and work completed.
• Send out bi-monthly reports on status of stock to main office.
• Make or suggest improvements to workflow and any product issues that arise
• Work environment will be in your shop/home. Turnaround time is typically 2 days.
• THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
• Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
• Valid Driving License, Laptop, Printer, Scanner, Cell phone, Email.
• You will need approximately 100 sq of indoor storage space.
• Soldering experience and tools would be helpful Ability to use a multimeter
• You will need MS Excel and MS Word or equivalent for documentation and reports
