Position Summary:
The Construction Estimator will prepare accurate cost estimates for earthwork and concrete
projects, review plans and specifications, and support bid submissions for public-sector
construction projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and
experience with government and municipal bidding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project plans, specifications, and documents to develop detailed estimates.
Prepare accurate cost estimates for earthwork and concrete projects.
Perform material, labor, and equipment takeoffs.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather pricing.
Track project costs and maintain estimating databases.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and provide clarifications as needed.
Ensure compliance with government, city, and TxDOT project requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum [5] years of experience as a construction estimator.
Proven experience with earthwork and concrete construction.
Experience with government, city, and TxDOT projects preferred.
Proficiency with construction estimating software (e.g. 4clicks, Timberland, Sage, or
similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
