We’re looking for a Temporary Facilities Coordinator who loves solving problems, keeping things running smoothly, and supporting a team that keeps our HQ and five Regional Offices operating at their best. You’ll work with everything from spreadsheets to contractors, from inventory logs to HVAC systems. In this role, you’ll help coordinate projects and facility operations to ensure business continuity—whether that’s tracking renovation progress, supporting new building construction, analyzing operational data, or making sure our spaces stay safe, functional, and disaster-ready. If you enjoy organizing chaos, collaborating across departments, and keeping projects moving, you’ll fit right in. **Assignment duration – 11 months or longer** Responsibilities: An associate or bachelor’s degree in business, facility management, or engineering. A high school diploma or GED with relevant experience, with 3 years of experience in maintenance/construction Data entry and data analysis utilizing MS Excel and Google Docs Assists with scheduling and deployment for facility-related projects Coordinates and tracks daily progress of projects Provides support for ordering materials & maintaining inventory logs Occasionally coordinates with inter-departmental partners to assure smooth flow of information Analyze operational data and identify areas of opportunity Cultivate contacts with other departments within NCEL and with outside contractors. Assists in managing renovations of existing and open offices to meet needs. Assist the manager in completing the ground-up construction of a new building and office space Requirements: Knowledge of all building systems, i.e., electrical distribution system, uninterruptible power supply system, generator supply wiring, plumbing and piping locations, roofing system, and associated problems, etc. Ability to delegate work, monitor progress, and deliver feedback Ability to manage projects to deadlines and requirements Proficient in software like AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks, and technical skills such as 2D/3D modeling, technical drawing, and knowledge of industry standards Knowledge of all codes and requirements of the city and state Skill in directing staff and contractors to help them perform in an effective manner Ability to work with a diverse group of people to gain consensus and keep all projects in motion Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and implement change Ability to deliver difficult or sensitive information while maintaining trust and a positive relationship Ability to operate power equipment and vehicles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Hiring Range: $18 - $24/hr (depending on experience) Closing Date: March 27, 2026 About the North Carolina Education Lottery We raise money for a great cause!
