Superintendent – Earthwork & Utilities
We are a growing commercial earthwork and underground utility contractor based in Louisville, Colorado. We are looking for an experienced Superintendent to join our team and help lead field operations as we continue to grow.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in running safe, organized, and productive job sites while maintaining strong relationships with owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and project managers.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple commercial earthwork and utility projects throughout the Denver Metro area.
Coordinate daily field operations, manpower, equipment, and materials.
Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Read and interpret civil plans, grading plans, utility plans, and specifications.
Coordinate inspections with municipalities and project teams.
Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety standards.
Work closely with Project Managers and Estimators to resolve field issues.
Track production and provide daily reports, quantities, and job updates.
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
Maintain quality control throughout all phases of construction.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of superintendent or foreman experience in commercial civil construction.
Strong knowledge of:
Earthwork
Site grading
Underground wet utilities (storm, sanitary sewer, water)
Erosion control
Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience working with municipal inspectors and commercial general contractors.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to use a smartphone and basic computer software for daily reports, photos, scheduling, and communication.
Preferred Experience
GPS machine control knowledge (Topcon, Trimble, or Leica)
Bluebeam experience
Utility testing and inspection coordination
Scheduling experience
OSHA 30 Certification (preferred)
