Apply Now Description Job Title: Intern Program(s): All Ste: Colorado Populion Served: Children and Families Reports To: Internship Program Supervisor/Clinical Community Program Director FLSA Stus: Unpaid Internship SUMMARY  The intern provides therapy, therapeutic case management and/or parenting time services to client and family in accordance with the Clinical Services Trement Model & Community Program Service Models. Learning, utilizing and applying evidence-based practices with our families such as Trust Based Relional Interventions (TBRI), Motivional Interviewing and Trauma Sensitivity alongside integrion of school to field knowledge growth and foundions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide individual therapy, family therapy, and case management or visition services ( a re of a minimum of 5 client engagement hours/week). Provide allied therapies, if applicable (including but not limited to: music, art, movement, recreion, occupional, vocional). Complete the following assessments when applicable; Assessment based upon client and family trement goals and program oriention. Develop individualized trement plans, if applicable. Develop crisis and safety plans. supervisor about progress of the client, and significant needs or issues addressed during therapy, case management or visition sessions. Provide guidance to and engage in on-going communicion/support with Co-Therapists, CoFacilitors or Co-Case Managers, if applicable. Provide family psycho-educional activities tied to comprehensive trement or case management, when applicable. Coordine services between various agencies. Act as liaison between family, referring agencies, and other community organizions. Participe in, and complete, all required training to equal 20 hours annually. Maintain client files in the Electronic Health Care System. Complete all necessary documention and reports in a timely manner, in accordance with County, Medicaid and/or agency standards. Follow through on service authorizion requirements for each client. Communice with county agency and provide documention in a timely manner to county professionals, when applicable. Attend and actively participe in Clinical Services, Case Management, Family Time or other team meetings. Appropriely access and utilize supervision resources. Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines as well as agency compliance standards. Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Report immediely any incidents of alleged abuse or neglect. Depending on program, may be required to continue internship through school breaks (ex. Winter holiday break). REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Must have a minimum two (2) years’ experience working with children and families in various settings or knowledge on child welfare, child development and other social work competencies. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • N/A. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of valid auto insurance. Required to maintain an active driver’s license and auto insurance during employment. Ability to meet the requirements of the motor vehicle record policy. Ability to sisfactorily pass fingerprinting and background checks. QUALIFICATIONS Language Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communice effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Mhemical Skills: Basic mh skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to understand percentages, fractions and decimals. Ability to analyze and interpret simple da in a clear way. Reasoning Ability: Responsible for determining plans for clients, reacting decisively in emergency situions and crisis intervention. Escale issues as approprie.   ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Effective organizional skills including the ability to think clearly and logically; to problem solve  effectively; written and oral communicion skills; and the ability to function with minimal supervision. Knowledge of local agencies and other community resources th may serve youth, families, and foster care services. Experience with crisis intervention and conflict resolution, knowledge of child development and child welfare system. Ability to autonomously cree and manage a schedule which accommodes family needs and meets expections of the referring party. Comfortable with learning and utilizing new technology resources including Avar, Trails, and other such systems. Demonstred ability to train and supervise others. Detail oriented in documention and communicion. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as ability to collabore with teams. Maintain a high degree of professionalism regarding demeanor, language, communicion, and boundaries with co-workers and clients. Effective, respectful, and professional written and verbal communicion. Rapport building and maintenance with youth, adults, employees, and child welfare/court professionals. Professional boundaries and self-care routines and ability to support others in setting approprie  boundaries. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), adeque typing skills, and basic computer skills. Knowledge and use of phone, copier, and other office equipment.  Ability to properly install and use car ses and other child vehicle restraint systems. Understanding and applicion of Trauma Informed Care. Capacity to complete all required training components for position. Bilingual is a plus but not required.   Apply Now
