Summary: Seeking a technical leader to design and execute test plans for mixed platform systems and software, independently managing test environments and ensuring integrated functionality. Highlights: 1. Technical leadership for test plan design and execution 2. Work independently in configuration management and troubleshooting 3. Interpret business needs to determine appropriate test strategies Provide technical leadership for the design and execution of test plans to verify functionality of mixed platform systems and software applications in a highly integrated test environment; work independently in configuration management, troubleshooting and software installation of the test environment; utilize Unix and/or Windows, and SQL to participate in all phases of the testing lifecycle; interact with third-party vendors and in-house development teams to ensure integrated functionality between SIG's applications and outside applications; identify and recreate bugs and defects in the development/test phases to assist development teams; conduct risk assessments in the test phases of new releases, applications or patches in order to determine deployment readiness; design and conduct non-scripted tests, proactively identifying potential bugs or defects; participate in post-deployment verification activities, ensuring software/systems work as expected; interpret SIG's business needs to determine appropriate test strategies and suggestions to meet business and engineering goals; participate in regular status meetings, providing reports on testing status throughout the test cycle; and train and provide demonstrations for business stakeholders and technology staff regarding applications/systems functionality. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or its foreign equivalent), plus five (5) years of experience testing, analyzing and gathering business requirements for software development, including both providing technical leadership and participating in the entire testing lifecycle of software development, using Unix and/or Windows. OR Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or its foreign equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience testing, analyzing and gathering business requirements for software development, including both providing technical leadership and participating in the entire testing lifecycle of software development, using Unix and/or Windows.
