Summary: This Assistant Controller position involves comprehensive financial close functions, budget preparation, financial projection analysis, and internal control evaluation. Highlights: 1. Manage financial close functions and prepare financial statements. 2. Perform financial projection analysis and internal control evaluation. 3. Provide training on internal control compliance and accounting procedures. Apply Now We have a position available for an Assistant Controller. This position would require th you reloce to another one of our locions after a 18 - 24 month training period.  Responsibilities include: Performing monthly financial close functions through preparion of financial stements for each opering locion Reconciliion of general ledger accounts Preparion of annual financial budgets Preparion of detailed budget, income or expenditure reports Completion of monthly financial projection analysis Re analysis and review Managing flow of accounting da to/from remote facilities Evaluing and assessing internal controls and opering results including analysis of budget to actual results; presents cost reduction recommendions to management Providing training to non-financial personnel on internal control compliance and accounting procedures Special projects as assigned  #ACControllers Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with least 12 credit hours accounting coursework is absolutely required, Master preferred CPA or MBA preferred Must have 1-3 years of experience as either a senior accountant or assistant controller role MUST be willing to reloce with 18 – 24 months Excellent written and interpersonal communicion skills Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities Intermedie to advanced skills in MS Excel and reled accounting business systems Successful candides are those who seek to thrive in an environment of operional excellence and accountability.  We offer excellent benefits including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, long term disability, life insurance, 401K retirement and unlimited opportunities to "Connect with Your Future".  Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
